Lot and lots of people argue about the benefits of marijuana, especially pain relief. McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and McGill University (MU) has conducted a recent study and has come to the conclusion that marijuana is better than pharmaceutical drugs at relie ing chronic neurological pain. The drug has done all this and all without all the harmful side effects that the pharmaceutical drugs have. Canadian Medical Association also agrees on McGill University’s research plus they say it can help an individual to sleep well.
A Psychiatrist, Dr. Eugene Dodoyi, on PeaceFM News has confirmed that the drug indeed can be a great pain reliever. He has also cautioned against the abuse of the drug because of its neurological efficacy since one can become easily addicted to using it. He said, side-effects such as madness can happen during the addiction stage.
Even Mark Ware, Director of Clinical Research at the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit at MUHC, said “this is the first trial to be conducted where patients have been allowed to smoke cannabis at home and to monitor their responses, daily.”
Either way if we regulate and control the drug using science it makes it even more reason to legalize it. Knowledge is power and we just need to educate the truth of marijuana this way people can understand it’s the safest drug known to man.
