In Middlebury, CT, police officers were responding to a burglar alarm on Breakneck Hill Road. When they arrived they found 20 pounds of marijuana on the property. This all happened on Wednesday afternoon police said.
The resident at Breakneck Hill Road was Cortlandt Heyniger who police arrested when they arrived. Heyniger was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession with intent to sell.
Around 1:30 p.m. police responded to the alarm, while checking the area for burglars, they found a brown paper bag containing marijuana. They found the marijuana on the floor near the bathroom. Police said the cultivating material and packaging totaled out between 18 and 20 pounds of marijuana.
