A Maine man was driving northboung in his 1996 Subaru Legcy shortly after 7 p.m. when NY State Police pulled him over in Clarkstown.  William Poulin, 25, of Augusta was arrested after a NY State Thruway trooper pulled him over, which lead to a search and found a pound of marijuana on him.  Poulin is awaiting arraignment last night in Clarkstown court.

Sgt. John Antonelli said that during the stop the Tarrytown barracks alleged that Poulin was unlicensed to drive.  Police found 19 ounces of marijuana during the search of his car.  They charged Poulin with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a felony, and criminal possession of marijuana, a violation.  Poulin was also charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and several other vehicle and traffic violations.

I mean if you’re going to pick up that much marijuana can you at least have a clean record and drive safe.  I mean you are giving these cops a reason to pull you over and charge you with every crime in the book.  Until it becomes legalized you have to be on your best behavior, especially in the car.
