A 3 year old boy in Florida had no recollection of where he got the marijuana he brought to his preschool today, said the authorities. The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said, the child, who is disabled, wouldn’t be charge with anything. However, the police said they will continue the investigation on where he got it from.
The police say the boy showed the marijuana to a fellow classmate on Monday at the local elementary school in Lake City. The other classmate then told the teacher. She then got other officials involved at the school that found less than 20 grams in two small bags on the student.
The mother brought the boy home after telling authorities that it was his father’s marijuana. The mother denied knowing where the marijuana came from and that her home doesn’t have illegal drugs. She suggested that her son might have gotten from a neighbor’s house where he usually plays.
Sheriff’s spokesman said, “I don’t think this kid knew what he had on him –that he knew it was marijuana, knew that it was illegal, knew it was a dangerous drug.” “If it came from home, if it came from the street, if it came from the school bus, we just don’t know where it came from at this point.”
Either way I look at it, this is a lesson everyone can learn that they need to keep better track where they are putting their stash of marijuana.
