Howard Arenstein, a CBS radio reporter, was arrested for growing marijuana in his home.  His wife, Orly Azoulay, was also arrested for possession of the drug as well.  Washington police found an 8-foot tall marijuana plant in Arenstein’s backyard.

Lt. Nicholas Breul, said the police had received complaints of the couple goring marijuana in their backyard.  The police obtained a search warrant, than raided the home where they not only found the 8-foot tall plant, but packaged marijuana as well.

Arenstein has been serving as a radio bureau manager for CBS News, Washington.  Neither has given a comment or a statement about the situation.

Legalization is right around the corner and I hope it comes soon so people don’t have to act like this towards each other.  A man and his wife have their lives ruined cause of a plant that is growing.  Should I start reporting people who grow vegetables?
